Hellen Louise (Long) Hyde, age 87 of Chesterton, IN passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020.

She was born on February 17, 1933, in Tennessee, to Monroe and Hazel (Crawford) Long.

Hellen is survived by her daughter, Karen Ring; sister, Marie Dale; two granddaughters, Jenifer Ring, Carrie (Dustin) Donovan; grandson, Brad Ring; two daughter-in-laws, Debbie Ring, Teresa Ring; several great-grandchildren; and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Bob Ring, Bill Ring, Jim Ring; husband, James Hyde; sister, Rena Sue; grandson, Trinity Burns.

Hellen enjoyed gardening. She loved spending time with her family and children.

Private services for Hellen will be held. She will be laid to rest at Heritage Cemetery, Portage, IN.
